What Chapters are left?

By Face Eater, in Deathwatch

I've just got Honor the Chapter. I quite like it, but i can't help think it's left out some chapters with a whole load of history.

Obviously they can't be expected to include every chapter with a short story or passage in a codex, we don't expect them too.

Neither would i really want them to make another chapter book, I'm sure we've already got more chapter options than we have stated bad guys, but just for interest or for those that like to make their own rules, what chapters with significant official fluff do not have rules anymore?

Here's you starters:

Iron Snakes

Soul Drinkers

Scythes of the Emperor

Mantis Warriors

I wouldn't call Chapter II "significant" for the purposes of each Chapter described there…

-Relictors

-Excoriators

-Mentor Legion (they got a Relic but that's it…also this chapter is only like 100 years old, haha)

-Black Dragons

-Executioners

-Celestial Lions

-Any confirmed White Scars successor…though nothing with Jaghatai Khan geneseed has any real fluff to speak up, First Founding Legion included

I would like to see some of the chapters that were glossed over get a real treatment.

Sons of Medusa for one, and Minotaurs for another.

I'm hoping that they take on some of the lesser known chapters that have some great potential in them, such as:

Steel Confessors

Red Hunters

Sons of Antaeus

Death Spectres

Marines Malevolant

Based on a rough and ready check, the rules for 50 chapters have been provided over the course of the Deathwatch line, in varying degrees of detail. I have an unhealthy obsession with all things even remotely splat, and as such covet rules for chapters over almost any other kind of crunch. Though I fully expect a break from yet more chapter options, I hope FFG will find ways to slip new ones in every once in a while.

Though few of these have extensive fluff coverage, all have are tied to FFG's RPGs in some way:

Charnel Guard (Angevin Crusade participant)

Dark Sons

Tigers Argent (Angevin Crusade Participant)

They also do not include rules for Hawklords, but they do include gear for them. :) Granted you can argue that a lot of the chapters can be covered with the codex chapter rules.

Rainbow Warriors!

Mentors.

Soul Drinkers.

Mortifactors for their conflict with the Crimson Fists at the time DW is set. Also some highlights on that conflict.

Grey Knights, in particular guidelines on how to run interactions between the 2 organizations.

Full rules for the Lamenters, Consecrators (relics galore!), Hammers of Dorn.

Any second founding from this list:

Mantis Warriors should be the flagship of a 2nd installment given their prominent role in the DW. They should also have some cool special rules on top of it, if you model them right.

Pretty decent list in this thread, FFG. If you spread it out, you can squeeze 2 more sourcebooks out of it. Should keep the line going. Especially if you also add chapters previously scarcely fleshed out and add some real meat.

Sons of Orar and Black Dragons both sound interesting. The Calixis Sector chapters, too.

I think Storm Wardens are the only Calixis natives.
