During the Bribing stage of Political/Assembly II, if you accept trade goods and/or promissary notes from a player in return for voting in their favor, after you have accepted them and it then moves to the voting stage can you choose not to vote the way you claimed you would??? I know Promissary notes are binding but I assumed that was only for the purposes of what is written on the card.

"During Political Intrigue, players have a chance to offer other
players a Promissory Note. Each player may only offer one
Promissory Note per Political Card.
If a player accepts a
Promissory Note, he is bound to vote as was agreed upon
with the player offering the Promissory Note.
"
Bribing people with Trade Goods is not binding (as always), but the new promissory notes specifically are binding, with regards to how you must vote, not just with regards to what the note promises to give you.
