Hey everyone! Just wanted to thank all those that have already registered for Calicon and also those that have already generously donated to its running!
This looks to be our biggest year yet, and I am trying hard to exceed everyone's expectations.
I also wanted to remind everyone that the deadline to register for the weekend AND still receive your CaliCon VI t-shirt for the weekend is September 15th. Of course you can register later than that date, but not if you want to get your t-shirt. I have to order them by the 16th in order to ensure their delivery.
Registering is simple. Just email me with a confirmation and your t-shirt size. It's that easy!
Also, we are taking donations for the Con through PayPal. You can donate at any time, but if you want to get the special swag reserved for our supporters (details on the website:

) you must donate by the 15th of September as well. Do not feel pressured to donate if you cannot afford it. Every year we get a lot of people that help to make this tournament go, and this is simply a way to recognize them.

Just an update: CaliCon VI is now just 2 weeks away! We have over 20 participants pre-registered with many more adding their names to the contest every day. Since the tourney is two weeks away, I wanted to let everyone know that the newest Ch. Pack, House of Black and White IS LEGAL for all constructed events at CaliCon. Happy deck building!
So I've got a friend who's planning on running a deck well beloved by the community (Martell Maesters), but he doesn't have the Maesters of War. Is there anyone coming who has a few they could loan out? He's hoping to run it Saturday if that matters.

Oakland is closest. You have to take a shuttle then BART to Concord Station. San Francisco is a little further, but BART runs right to the Terminal, so public transportation is a little more convenient. If you are serious about flying out tomorrow email me and we'll make sure to get you there in the easiest way.

Re: Maesters of War, I don't love the deck but I hate to see people not be able to play what they want due to limited card pool. I will happily lend your friend 3x Maester of War.
Re: the FAQ, Lucas announced that it is indeed in effect- TftE is really the only relevant part, since there is not a Melee tournament.
