Hi guys I am not sure if a rule book already explains this but what is the max number of servitors a tech priest can manage at the same time and what is the max on cybernetic animals/familiars like server skulls? The second part of this question is do servitors and cybernetic animals or familiars count for the same limits.
Tech Priest, Servitors, and Cybernetic Animals
I am not sure whether there are rules for it, but in my game I allowed the groups Tech-Priest his Toughness-Bonus in Mechadendrites and the Int-Bonus in cybernetic animals / servitors under his direct control at the same time.
Yea, there is no RAW for this, but Luthor Harkon's advice on this subject would work quite well, IMO.
thanks for the help guys.
Up to TB is the amount of mechandrites is in the book, not sure what you use for Servitors, but Int-Bonus sounds logical. On a side note, the breacher augment gives you something like a mechandrite as well as some bonuses (including +10 to Toughness, which means another mechandrite) and some negatives, but if you are going the path of a secutor/heavy duty techie, it shouldnt be an issue. Some GMs also allow GQ or BQ versions to not have some/all of the drawbacks.
Book of Judgement has some rules concerning "Cyber-Constructs, Beasts and servitors", pg71 onwards.
Unfortunately, the rules for simultaneous use given are limited to those of "Constructer Interface", which allows the use of Tech-use (silent) instead of Command skill and the use of pre-computed attack patterns, which give specific bonuses.
"All Constructer Interfaces are of at least Good Quality and allow a user to make Command Tests to a Cyber-Mastiff or Grapple-Hawk silently, using Tech-Use in place of the Command skill. The device can interface with up to five constructs, but can only actively issue commands to 2, the others may report data back to the user, but may not be commanded. Only Cyber-Mastiff ’s and Grapple-Hawks may be issued commands, other constructs may only report data. A Best Quality Constructor Interface allows for 3 constructs to be commanded, but is still limited to 5 total uplinks."
Since the limitations mentioned seem to be due to the device, and not the user, I would go with the INT-bonus previously mentioned.
