Dungeon?

It looks like a bit for a vault space, but for me, the 7th space on the first row is the best vault space, because the space looks exact the same as the third edition, but only with better artwork.

We will see in the future wich space it will contain gran_risa.gif

Don't know if we're thinking of the same space, but the 7th space was either corridor or guard room (too lazy to load the image at 3400x3400 again gran_risa.gif ).

The space i mean is: ( if you begin left on the first row 4 spaces foward, and then by the corner go up 3 spaces gran_risa.gif You see a door there gran_risa.gif

Do you want to open it ? lol gran_risa.gif

That's just a Corridor space, nothing special. There is no door to open, just a doorway. There are two Vaults, on the 13th and the 22nd space. You draw 3 cards there. There is also a huge door on the 28th space, but since it's the penultimate space, I guess it's something like the Portal of Power rather then a regular Vault.

Maybe you are right. I need a closer picture to see what the text are saying. But i don't think they will be 2 vaults, because if you draw trapdoor on the main board, then you don't know where you land..( except when it is stated of course..)

You can wish what you want :) but the fact remains that the board contains:

6x Corridor (draw one card)

6x Tunnel (draw one card)

4x Cavern (draw two cards)

2x Vault (draw three cards)

And singular (and special effects):

Dungeon Entrance, Library, Guard Room, Cell, Hall of Darkness, Kitchen, Torture Chamber, Monster Pit, Summoning Circle, xxx, xxx.

Bludgeon,

How do you know this?

We can't even read the text...

Am i missing something....

You can view the pictures in different sizes. Just choose the highest resolution, and you'll be able to read most of the text quite easily.

Edit: I mean on the Boardgamegeek page, of course. Just click the picture, and choose "Original" at the top.

Thanks for the information;)

Woot ! gran_risa.gif

What a quality artwork. Now that i can see it better than before, i am so happy that FFG make the Dungeon again. gran_risa.gif

I am already thinking how the quality would be if they made the Forest expansion again ! gran_risa.gif Maybe a larger swamp in the forest . gran_risa.gif

Do we know yet if we can enter the dungeon on the main board by drawing dungeon doors- or will the entrance strictly line up with the corner spaces?

There is an arrow in the first space on the Dungeon map saying <- Ruins. Having never played previous Dungeons, can't say more.

It looks like it will be the same as the third edition. I think that the Trap Door will replace the Dungeon Door on the main board.

In second edition, dungeon doors got mixed in with the adventure card deck and was the main (only?) way to get into the dungeon. I really hope they include the same idea in this version.

There is an RSS feed associated with each forum at FFG. I have one at Talisman Island (for my sporadic updates!), BoardGameGeek forums, Occasional Gamer (home of oTalisman) and a couple more have them, like the French Edge Forums .

Thank you talismanislan for the information above.

I checked the image (link below) of, what seems to be and all are saying is the back of the Dungeon expansion for the revisied 4th edition, but can anyone tell me why it seems that the back of an adventure card, visible in the image, is of a green color instead of the regular brownish color?

You are not colorblind by any chance? The adventurecards are clearly green.

Well thank you guzerat for pointing that out, it was a while since I had my eyes checked.

I put the cards from the Talisman box next to the image of the card from the back of the Dungeon expansion and the one on that image is green like a nasty goblin, when the one from the box is maybe very slightly green.

Maybe it is UK edition with this kind of cards only. I will have a look on them again today and I will try to provide a picture so all can see what I mean.

Cheers for your concern guzerat. :)

You are right guzerat they are greenish but only when you look at them from a close distance, else from a distance they seem to be a bit brownish.

Anyway, mainly just to be stuborn - I think the one on the image is greener then my cards. :)

Yep. I think they've cranked the levels quite a bit to make it pop.

Really awesome. Can't wait to play this! Looks like elements of both third and second for a jumped up version....

Swashbuckler VS The Gladiator

A battle will begin between these two dangerous fighters. Who is gonna win.

Buy a ticket at the counter and place your bet !

See you in the Arena.

I see in in the expert book( that i downloaded on talisman island) that the swashbuckler has nice abilities from 2th edition. ( drawing 2 cards on field spaces and gets a extra turn after winning a combat. Very food character( i have play with him in third edition)

The abilities from the gypsy from 2th is not so good i think. I hope she get better ones.

The amazone from 2th has also nice abilities. Maybe she gets the same in the dungeon expansion. Fighting the same battle again is not bad, and rolling 2 dice for movement and choose one of them is also very good

To add something to this topic.

I look forward to the other 3 characters: Gypsy, Amazone, and Gladiator

You can see in the rules that the trapdoor and the new card( we have not seen yet) dungeon door will be both included in the adventure deck.

This will make third edition and two edition players happy.. gran_risa.gif

The other card is a cave card. I cannot see the whole text, but i hope it is something interesting.

I hope that they will be more dungeon doors and trap doors included in the 10 adventure cards

Why has FFG made the LoD so strong. I belief he has a strength and craft of 6 in third edition

But 12 sorpresa.gif ..

If you can bring down a Lord of Darkness, you are already packet to go to the Crown of Command. sorpresa.gif
