dragon hatchlings with power tokens

By Reager2, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

if a hatchling has power tokens on him, when his daddy dragon gets played, do the power tokens pass over while the hatchling is attached as duplicate or are they lost?

Since there is nothing either moving or discarding the power on the Hatchling, it stays on the card when it becomes a dupe. That is, your dupe has power on it. Of course, that power is useless since the rules say that only power on your House card and characters counts toward your victory. So unless you have an effect that specifically says the power on a card other than a character or your House card counts toward your victory total, the power on the Hatchling will effectively be discarded (by not being counted), even though it technically remains on the card-as-dupe until the dupe leaves play.
