About Wiederbelebungsserum Failsafe and Long Tom abilities

By icevvind, in Dust Warfare

Hi there, i got two doubts i wanna share with you.

The first is about how to resolve the long tom agains two targets. If the enemy is soldier 2, you resolve a 5/1 against the first and again a 5/1 agains the second?

And the second question is about the Wiederbelebungsserum Failsafe order…. its given to a non-zombie unit that has lost any soldier during the las turn. But, if the unit was comprised by , lets say, recon grenadier unit with a hero attached to it and i sacrifice all members of the unit but the hero… in the next turn can i roll 5 dice for the complete recon squad since i still got the hero? or the hero becomes a solo unit and the previus recon squad is lost?

Thanks in advance

1. You would resolve the 5/1 against the 1st unit if they are infantry 2's and resolve the appropriate number of dice against whatever type (infantry or vehicle) the 2nd unit is.. ie 3/1 if infantry 3

2. I would say if the unit is killed and only the hero is left then you can no longer create zombies from that original unit, the hero becomes their own seperate unit at that point.

Probably should have put this one in the rules sub-forum above.

Answer for the first is roll however many dice it says vs each target's category separately as though it were two separate attacks vs each individual unit. Only Caveat is the second unit must have a model within 6" of a model in the first unit.

Answer for the second question is no. It's a thoughtful question, but rules as written, the very moment a Hero's squad gets wiped, he removes all suppression markers and becomes an independent unit of one. No serum or medic rolls will bring back guys in his old, now eliminated unit. Although a medic roll will give the hero back a wound.
