There are plenty of decks that can beat it. Wildlings can out-aggro it, Stark murder can kill the key maesters, Targ has excellent attachment control and burn can kill or discard the maesters, and other Martell decks can bounce maesters with GG. Once chains are pulled then discarded (esp Valyrian Steel Link) it's hard to get the engine going again.
