Places and Strangers

By zelq, in Talisman Rules Questions

Forgive me if I missed this somewhere, I did try looking first :)

Aside from the one spell we've seen (don't remember the name), is there any other way to get rid of strangers or places that occupy a square? In our second play (and first complete game) we ended up with many squares that we could no longer draw cards on.

Just curious.

Thanks!

There are some adventure cards that remove certain types of card from the board, but, short of that, no. I don't think so.

Cards reshaping the board is a central part of Talisman. Don't worry, the next game will be different.

Apart from the spell you mentioned (its Obliterate), there are lots of adventure cards, that can get you rid of many cards on the board (goblin sapper, curfew, some decree i cant remember, and of course the earthquake and volcano or ragnarok). Theres also the Destruction spell, of course.

Last night I drew Firestorm from Varthrax's Dragon deck. It removed EVERY card from every region.

It was late in the game, and an Epic rearrangement of the board.

I need to go through the decks, we really just opened it and started playing. I also grabbed the Reaper as I was told that it was worth it for the extra cards alone.
