Question: Traps and Move Effects

By snakeeyes2, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I was wondering if it's possible to abuse traps - like pits, scything blades, etc. with abilities like knockback and telekenisis - moving models back and forth across spaces of the trap and taking damage each time.

Is this legal? My first thought that it would be an interesting use for Ogres but then I realized that with the heroes' access Telekenisis and Knockback that it's gross what they can do with monsters and traps.

Telekinesis certainly can do this, though its often a relatively low value use of the fatigue. A Knockback-ed figure however does not actually move through the intervening spaces according to the skill description, so its use in this context is limited to the final space in which the target 'lands'.

Yep telekinesis and knockback can do this but if the heroes use the telekinesis for this then count yourself lucky. I quess it is possible to come into a situation with a high armored boss is worth throwing into a pit, but otherwise I would say it is an advantage to the OL that you can use traps on people moved with telekinesis and in the dungeon with the sorcerer that have telekinesis can throw the highly armored heroes reapetedly in the pits.
