Can the Cursed Doll remove the Curse token that a Cursed Item adds to a character’s Conquest Value and still allow the character to use the Item without penalty there after?

Yes and no. Yes, the curse doll can remove the 'current' Curse token and the character may use the cursed item as normal. However if the item is (unequipped and) re-equipped (which happens if you want to reuse the item after the hero dies) then a new curse token is placed on the hero. So the 'there after' part of your question is yes in the short term and no in the long term.

1. Equip cursed item - gain Curse token

2. use curse doll to remove Curse token - continue using cursed item without a curse token

3. re-equip cursed item and gain a 'new' Curse Token - you'll need a new curse doll to get rid of this!
