i-spin is definately the best 2 check.

Games swing from aggro to control as a natural part of the development process. Last year, the game swung to control. Simple as that.

And instead of swinging right back, someone's holding the pendulum. I blame you, personally. ;p

Aggro had its chance! =P

Actually, I do like the potential that a few of the new characters have for aggression, Balrog in particular. A few more characters like that, and a few more cards like High Tide, and aggro will be back in a big way.

Man, I wish Punching Bag was a 4-check. Two mid for two with a 4-check? C'mooooooon...it's not so bad...

We still have high tide for you and it checks a 5 !!

lol High Tide. The card's jank and you know it. The action side is bad, and the attack side is not even worth mentioning other than it has a 5 Control... which, IIRC, will benefit a control-type deck more than an aggro one. Aggro needs to kill fast. High Tide does not make you kill fast.

agro definately made a comeback in set 11. personally i am glad agro isn't all that good these days, after 6 years of playing yugioh (5 of which have been dominated by agro) i am ready for a more control oriented game. now pre-set 11 b3 was looking too controling, but now with one more set i think the game will have a nice balance.

I actually would have liked High Tide more if it was 1 damage and had a block, no matter how insanely high the modifier. But I understand why it doesn't.

But what I'm saying, Hat-san, is that attacks like Punching Bag (read: easily spammable) would be very good for aggro. Pretty much any attack he can play can work nicely with rare Alex, for example; Punching Bag + American Made + Alex pump/Times Square + Raw Talent makes for a very nice attack for 2 difficulty. Remember HIdden Base? We need attacks that work like that - low difficulty but with decent numbers. Clones (I GIVE THE CLONES LIFE) is too much, but High Tide and Punching Bag are a step in the right direction.

Punching Bag -> Punching Bag -> Ka-razy Buffaro = 26 damage, given one American Made and one Lord of the Makai. And that's really easy to do. We have the characters to get the job done (LEONA, ZI MEI); we just need more good attacks (Tsurane Kiri, Banana Raid, etc.)

And that's only for Balrog, however, because the Powerful : 3 on the Buffalo is Balrog only. Still, Set 11 ain't the be-all end-all answer I was looking for, because even Alex4 gets screwed up more often than not.

As far as printing good attacks go, they could also stop printing control cards that will automatically shut down a turn. That'd help out more.

or they could just print a 4 or 5 check atack.

Why so people can just complain that attacks are getting to strong again?

plus if there like clones i doubt id run them anyways because they would just get put in your staging area by olcadans

I don't want this game to get too fast, or too slow.

Turn 2 I win aggro decks, aren't that much fun...

Slow control that is painful and lacks action is also not fun....

I do like the middle ground, and I love combo... something is pretty fun about combo.

which is fine if those 4-5 check attacks are actions or assets.

Depending on the symbol you play them as (or which spread), Cathedral Overlook them. They'll regret giving you the Clones.

Or play Billy. He'd be great anti-Olcadan's tech, if you were running Clones/Soldier of Sparta.

OP: Combo, huh? That would be...Defender loop =/

Billy with Cathedral Overlook.

Defender loop is combo... INFINITE COMBO....

I don't like that combo... 1st off, it really isn't hard to pull off... in fact its simple. 2ndly its crazy good, and I don't have the cards to do it.

All of us, are n00bs, so we play for fun in my area, no one has anything resembling a tournament worthy deck...

I've built a couple turn 2/3 kill decks that work well, but only because no one is playing control....

Imagine a meta where there is no owl face, no LotM, no order control, or anything of the sort... just "ineffective" aggro playing against itself. Thats what we have, and its fun... I dread the day that people start playing control in my area, because it will sap the fun out of it.

But once everyone gets better in your area then all the aggro will turn into turn 2 or turn 3 kills and that wont be fun either......

I think the most fun is playing a hybrid deck becuase both players have answers to your opponents cards but isnt controlling enough to where you cant do anything at all

It'll be better than 75% of the matches going to time, at the very least.
