House Cards and Powers Counters are here! Look inside to get yours!

By mathlete, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

OK My Game of Thrones community! I am giving you first crack at these items. I’ve received many offers through Facebook, texts and e-mail. I’ve searched E-Bay to price the items fairly. I saw an original Baratheon marble house card sell for $66 last week. I’ve seen many of the other cards sell in excess of $100 in the past. I’ve seen the original Martell power counters sell for $100 and the Targaryen, Greyjoy and Baratheon sell for $51, $32 and $26 respectively. I planned to sell these items on E-Bay but would rather go directly to the community first. All of my items have been issued from FFG and I have collected or won them over the years. Here is what I am going to do. I am going to set a minimum price for each item. You can send me your blind bid to my e-mail at [email protected] . The bid you should send is the maximum you are willing to pay for that item. Please be specific as to house and item. At 6:00 pm PST on Monday, July 9, 2012, whoever has sent the highest bid to my e-mail will receive the item. If an item is not sold, I will list it on E-bay on Tuesday at the asking price below. Shipping will be $5 extra whether you have won 1 or 20 items! Btw, I am not quitting the game. I just am making space.

Here is what I have to offer:
1) All six original marble house cards – Starting bid is $50
2) All six crystal house cards – Starting bid is $40
3) All six second print of marble house cards – Starting bid is $30
4) All six original house crystal bead counters – Starting bid is $40
5) All six original wooden house counters – Starting bid is $30
Note: I only have 14 of the 15 House Baratheon counters but replaced it with a Baratheon pin (see picture).
6) All six original plastic house sigil power counters – Starting bid is $20
Note: These come in a set of 20 counters, not 15.
7) All six original black leather deck pouches. These pouches come with the house name and sigil embossed in the leather and fit one sleeved house deck snuggly. – Starting bid is $20.

The second print of the Marble house cards are in the upper left (the white one is the Stark one but the direwolf is lost in the flash),
E-mail me if you have any questions. If you win any item(s), you will be contacted Monday evening. You can pay me through PayPal and I will ship the items on Tuesday.

Thanks!

****, do want! too rich for my blood though :( To anyone considering bidding, the pics do not do the crystal cards justice. benton had one at the tenn regional and it was super cool. he put a regular house card under it and the crystal seemed to absorb/reflect all the colors around. way neat.

hey if something doesn't sell you could always donate it to be a prize for the weekly octgn mini tournies! :)

Just wanted to explain the the "minimum" price listed for each is PER ITEM in that set and not PER SET.

Thanks for the many responses that I have received so far. Keep it coming!

lol then its DEFINITELY too rich for me.

Aw man… that Baratheon leather pouch… I want it so bad… : /

If I knew these were the prizes and rewards and stuff for the Tournament scene I'd have tried to find out if Canada even hosts these kinds of Tournaments which I don't think they even do.

silent auction>>? but i wanted a Bidding War!!!*%&*(%&*(#$)

All items are gone. Thank you all for your interest!

If anyone would like to resell their purchase for a nice profit, please contact me….I had a want thread going in the Trade forum. Who knew there was such riches to be found in General!

For those that missed this big sale, I'm selling five of the 1st stone house cards and four sets of the glass power counters.

www.ebay.com/sch/comicbooks2go/m.html

$120 for a house card? Either I am completely out of touch or you are a lunatic.

lol yeah I'd be VERY surprised if they sold at all. The most I'd pay, and I think is still on the high end, is $50.

As Mathete says in the first post, some have sold for over $100. Specifically I saw the Stark and Lannister stone cards go for around $200 each on eBay in 2011. And if Martell power counters can go for $104 a few weeks ago…

lol wow. People have way more disposable income than I do.

That's what people say on these boards all the time…but I've been able to buy/sell them for over $100 consistently. These cards were $25 each (to Night's Watch members who had access to the redemption item cash shop) when they came out 10 years ago. So, given their rarity, and the popularity of the series (if not the game), a bit of an increase in value should be expected. Never underestimate the spending power of a compulsive collector.

And as a final point, last year, when the first season of the show was on, a number of stone house cards were sold for over $300 each on ebay (I think the stark went for about $450). I had been watching ebay for years looking for my missing Martel stone card, so I've seen most of the selling prices. Lately, it's been in the range of $90-$120, but usually that's the price after a bidding war not a "buy it now" option. Which of course, removes a potential bidder from the pool as he already obtained the item of his desire. If everyone floods the market it'll just drive the value down (as happened with INWO box sets after the first one went for a mind staggering $800 and then everyone and their brother put their sets on ebay, driving the price down down down).

But that being said…if anyone wants to sell me their second gen (landscape) stone house cards for Martel and Greyjoy for $50 each, I'll buy!

Looks like I'm not so out of touch after all. 0 bids on any of them so far.

Eh, it's eBay. In my experience it's the rare item on there that people bid on with more than 24 hours left to go.
