I don't understand the rules of the photon grenade: when you launch one, everyone just goes blind, witout test or anything?

The rules for them are in Dark Heresy. Anyone within 15 metres of a photo flash grenade when it detonates must succeed on a Toughness Test or be blinded for 1d5 Rounds.
Was just looking for this, because the Conversion Field has a photon flash effect if it absorbs 12 damage or more, and we spent 20 minutes searching for the rules before my gm gave up and said they are blind till their next turn
same here, i asked for a perception test after the shield flashed, and counted those who missed it as blind for the rest of the fight

It was actually added to the most recent version of the errata, but as a general rule if you can't find the rules for something it'll be in the DH book.
