When Khal Drogo is killed and he gains X number of Dothraki from the deck am i correct this is his STR and NOT including any attachments which were previously on it ?

No. It includes his base STR and any modifiers his STR has including lasting effects and attachments that increase/decrease it.
So, if his base STR is 3 and he has an attachment that gives him +2 STR, his STR will be 5 for the X on his ability.
Ok but i thought as soon as the character dies he goes into moribund along with the attachments and thus they are seperated from the character, is this not correct ?

They are not separated from the character. They are all moribund but are not detached until they leave play in Step 6.
Yea this can get pretty banannas when its a melee game in turn 2 or 3 and khal drogo has rakharos arakah when he dies, you can end up search for 19 dothrakis
