The G*M*S Magazine Podcast Episode 46 Part 1–Warhammer Fantasy with Graeme Davis

By Leviatham, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

In this first part, I have Dale with me. I was hoping to have Vickey as well, but we got the time-zones wrong. With *we* I mean me. I wish the planet were flat!

In this episode you will find the first part of the interview I had with Graeme Davis. Graeme, as well as being a nice guy, it’s a fantastic writer to boot. His imagination and good writing brought us The Enemy Within a long time ago, for Warhammer Fantasy, and now he’s working on the sequel to that great adventure. So I had the chance to ask what can we expect from it, and I think the answer will surprise you. Gladly!

Looking forward to checking it out…

Gitzman

listening to it now, and there are a lot of audio skips/artifacts in the cast. True for both streaming & download. Particularly around minute 19-21.

Mr. Davis sure is getting quite a bit of limelight in various podcasts these days…must be something in the works…just wonder when we'll get to see it sad.gif.

The podcast certainly got me interested in Colonial Gothic as well. I'll order all of it, methinks. Graeme saying that you could run something like the film 'Sleepy Hollow' in that setting got me sold instantly. I do like the idea of alternative historical settings as well as story-driven design. I always enjoy getting rule- and source-books of RPGs that are like-minded to Warhammer in one sense or another. For that reason I also intend to get a truckload of Call of Cthulhu materials and the 'Dogs in the Vineyard' rulebook that someone brought up over in another thread, as soon as I have moved to a new city in two weeks time.

While I'm at it, which other RPGs would you recommend for a Warhammer GM, who is seeking inspiration?

I'm still of the opinion that this will still get released, however FFG dumped the entire "Tomb of Thieves" project before converting to 3e. I'm surprised that they didn't resurrect that one as well.

Limited vision for this line I guess.
