Had a little idea for this, I was thinking of using a Highlander format, but with a twist: you have to have at least two cards from every symbol, and you have to nominate the two. I'll explain: For each symbol, you must have two nominated cards for each symbol, so for example you could have battle prowess for one of you Earth cards, but then it won't count as a Life card, for example.

So, you would have 24 cards to start, two for each symbol, then the rest is up to you. Resource chaining would have to be suspended for sure, otherwise nothing would happen!

What do you guys think? A crazy game with various combos and no two games being alike, or a dull affair of WTF?!?!?! I can't do anything?!?!?!

The idea will get confusing too quickly methinks.

I just think for patch ups you should just run a toruney for thsoe withouta ny patches at your venue.

Failing taht run it as normal but the patches get passed down tos omeon who hasn't got them.

How about simplifying it to:

"You must have all 12 resource symbols represented in your deck. You can still chain and play using any resource symbol, but your deck must picture all 12 symbols."

As an example, I play ::Lizardman:: and use Battle Prowess. I now have Water, Void, Chaos, Life and Earth (combined symbols of ::Lizardman:: and Battle Prowess) represented in my deck.

There's an infinity patch too, make it all 13 symbols.

Hewtzil, I think that would be a good compromise, Had second thoughts about the format I described, seems to be too restrictive

As fer Infinity, who actually has an Infinity patch? I've got one, but I haven't seen many!

Here's a crazy idea.

a 4th symbol tournament.

Resource chaining happens as normal, but every card in your deck must have the same resouce on it, the kicker is that resource is not on your character!

Say you're running Fei Long***(Wind/Fire/Life), you still have to make a resource chain off of one of those symbols, but every card in your deck also has to have the Order symbol etc.

EDIT: Also, so there's no cheating, Infinity cards aren't allowed. Even Pull of the Tides.
