ok- time to predict the finale-who are we getting in shadow and flame….

By richsabre, in The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game

I'm sorry I posted the same question in another thread. I thought it could get lost if I ask it here - before actually seeing it's been ask. I think Leadership fits "early" Elrond (Gil Galad times) and Lore is more of the lazy Rivendell playing checkers drinking coffee version.

Personally, I don't want to see Elrond as a hero. His role was more of an adviser and supporter, not someone who actively participated in the fellowship. If we are to see him as a character, I would like to see him in the same vein as Gandalf. Or maybe other Events like Elrond's Counsel that contribute help to your heroes in terms of resources or maybe allies.

I fully agree with all your points. However, I still suspect that we will see Elrond as a hero.

The funny thing with Elrond as an Ally or Hero would be: He can counsel himself to be less frightened of the shadow AND boost somebodys willpower because he gave himself such good advise xD

Yeah, that's why it would probably not make sense if Elrond's ability had to do with threat reduction.

i still like the idea i came up with on the other thread- taking the fact he was gil galad's minstrel and expandind on gleowine's minstrel ability

resource action- choose a sphere, elrond gains that sphere until the end of the round

that way his influence spans all sphere, and its powerful, but no ridicolously so, and it could sort of tie in with the council of elrond bringing together all walks of life

I really like this idea too Rich. Representing his broad knowledge of all 4 spheres seems to be the most ideal place to place Elrond's influence.
