Rogue Trader Cleric

If the concept is a capable militant who is also a capable missionary, is there a build that makes that concept effective? I keep developing builds that in going for a complex mixture of the two, my stats make my character somewhat medicore at both, and looking ahead at the possible advances, I'm not sure which career path leaves the most leaway for development in the other side of the character.

Thanks for any opinions and experiences,

It depends. Missionary is more choppy, Arch-Militant is more shooty. Missionary also has much more social and knowledge stuff going on for him. All in all, you can't go wrong with the Missionary.

If your GM allows stuff from other game lines, take a look at Blood of Martyrs from DH. It's got updated rules for Pure Faith and some other cool stuff a member of the Ecclesiarchy can do or use.

The GM is going to start up an online site chat & forums using Jove, I think. It's all in the planning stages (creation rules, setting, etc), but so far, he's been reluctant to include DH material, just for the sake of simplicity in record keeping in case it expands beyond the 8 or so of us initially interested. I think the creation rule will be everything in RT auto-approved, stuff from other game lines will be approved case-by-case based on whether it's broken vis-a-vis RT material. I'll ask him to take a look at the stuff in Blood of Martyrs.

Thanks for your opinion - I appreciate it.

You're welcome, and hope you have a fine game!
