Alright , we've got the Path of the Master Championship coming up April 17,18,19 at the Fantasy Flight Headquarters in Minnesota. For those looking to fly, while the official city is "Roseville MN", it's basically part of Minnieapolis, and is spitting distance from the Airport if I remember correctly.

Facts:

there will be an event in Minnesota in April, to conclude the Path of the Master program. there will also be one in the U.K.

this event will be the only place to get the special promo, by showing the patches earned.

Rumors started by confused people:

there will be a redemption program. FALSE - no program, only the event

this program will be at worlds. FALSE - in MN in april, and in the UK TBA

having more than the 13 unique patches will get you more than 13 promos. FALSE - 1 promo per different patch to a max of 13. winner of the event takes the rest.

Better question - who's going, but isn't bringing a full compliment of 13 patches? Would you be willing to exchanges patches for someone else?

Do you have someone from your crew going who doesn't have any patches?

I figure we've got two months to organize this stuff, and have people maximize the amount of promos that will see distribution.

We have already arranged special rates at two hotels, both within walking distance of the FFG Event Center. The first hotel is the Days Inn Roseville where we arranged for 18 Double-rooms for $59.99 a night. The second hotel is the Radisson where we have 15 Double-rooms for $79.99 a night. When you call to book your room through either of these hotels, be sure to let them know you’re calling for the UFS Invitational.

If you want to check out your stomping grounds for the weekend, we will have the FFG Event Center open <Friday > from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. During this time you can come and talk with any FFG staff that may be on hand, or simply come out to get your game face ready.
Registration for the Invitational event will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday the 18th. Following the Registration will be a ceremony for all the past UFS Champions. When this procession has ended, we will start the first tournament promptly at 11:30 a.m.

we will be having events running all day ~ come check out our Event Center lounge where you can play some of the latest and greatest fighter games to grace the consoles. We will have beverages and snacks available at the Event Center for your convenience. If you’re wanting to get a bite to eat, a good deal of restaurants are within walking distance of the FFG Event Center. Also, we will be running shuttles for Invitational participants. Finally, we will be hosting a pizza party on Saturday night, compliments of Fantasy Flight Games. Food and beverages will be provided in this meal for all UFS Invitational participants.

On Sunday, we will start the competition up again once more at 10 a.m., keeping the beatdowns going all the way until 4 p.m. But don’t feel like once 4 hits you have to get out of dodge.
We’ll have the center open until 6 p.m. for anyone that would like to stay a little longer and make their Invitational weekend last.

whatever, i'm going i'll have all the patches and then some, so i can't mule for anyone, but if anyone is missing any for the full 13, let me know when we get there.

way too far for any member of Team TN to go and the fact that none of us in CCII have money will cause this to be worse, add on the fact that ther is NO redemption or second chance to get this promo is ******** i think you can fill in the blank there, it's very disheartining and why i am running my last patch event legacy as it doesnt even matter for us. I know it's gonna be taken the wrong way but way to drop the ball there guys...

foxhound will be there, well at the very least me shajir keith and kin will be there. as for the patches i have 3 (hopefully 4 tomorrow ) kieth has a couple. kin has em all but void, shajir has a couple, a friend of ours is coming that doesnt play so shes bringing all 13 of Cos' and we're gonna be bringing what we can for the ppl that arent going

Also is this like... a tournament or something, or just come down hang out do w/e with the UFS guys. or is it like a singles and a teams or w/e? (just trying to get things figured out early here)

I just looked it up on hotels.com. The closest hotel is about 0.2 miles away from the headquarters, but the hotel is about 14 miles away from the airport. Good news is my trip from Pensacola, FL to there with hotel, flight, and rental car will cost about $850 total. So anyone coming from a shorter distance will probably cost a lot less.

We're going to start crunching numbers as well. I'm hoping flights won't be too bad, and we'll obviously share the hotel room.

I've some patches. All, Chaos for sure, the rest I have no idea and I may end up with a few more depending.

Looks like I'll be trading my patches away. Really, really bad way of doing the patch promos. Because, you know, Minnesota is out EVERYONE'S backdoor. I vote for some form of mail-in, or something remotely fair for everyone.

This is right in my own back yard. However I don't think I will able to attend(no patches). If I am able to obtain a patch, I will definatly take these dates off and make sure the rest of my crew is available. I will let them know regardless but none of us have any patches.

edit: also I am about 15-30 minutes away so if anyone wants to save some money I can provide a place for people to crash.

I plan on going to Chicago somewhere around 10 days prior to the event, and I might be able to make it on the way back. I don't know what's definitely going on, and if I do go, my performance should be interesting to say the least because I haven't actually played in a long time. I have been on-and-off working on two decks during that long time, and they both have the theoretical potential to rival my past top tier decks. Don't steal all the hotel rooms!!!!!

Edit: on further research I am 46 minutes away. still it is close. now to get some patches.

Thats because the 17th is a Friday and we are not sure how many can make it, we will actually be at the event playing games and showing some cool stuff till about 10pm or so but you will not miss anything if you don't get there until Sat. the hotel info, etc. will be posted on Monday, very good rates.
