Since I have already put in soldier 1 units into my Dust collection, my next goal was to put in soldier 4 units and during a romp around the web, came across these. I like the British guys for an armoured 4 allied unit and for the axis, not only armour 4, but a jump unit for them!

I have all of those and they will be small next to the Dust figs. I do like SOTR though. As it stands right now though somewhere in one of the books it mentions that no Earth forces have any type 4 infantry yet…so my guess is that it will be for the Vril at least at first. Also in the one of the old fluff books there is a german suit of heavy armor that kept killing its wearer (kind of like the scene in Iron Man 2) that they changed over to a wire guided robot. Ill see if I can dig up the pic.

Oh well, its too bad that they are not the right size, I really like the British heavies.

Nice models ….. but I think the Vrill will have the first Soldier 4 units.

I don't think these are any better armoured than the current A3 units, I imagine A4 to be mini-mechs myself like the AT-43 ones. The big guy top left are about the same size as DT walkers.

MM, that's been my belief as well. Mini-walker suits for Soldier 4 humans.

Or could we be looking at another possibility, autonomous or wire/radio controlled robot units for Soldier 4?

I believe the first Soldier 4 unit will be seen and fieldable by the end of the summer . . .

I believe soldier 4s aren't going to be guys in even bigger suits of power armor, read the description. Its pretty clear what soldier 4s are, they're like Captain America or the Red Skull from the new movie.

I would consider chitinous skin vrill to be unearthly, I would consider a big power armor suit to be extraordinary protection.

And big clunky armoured suits are extraordinary protection.

Honestly, if I give anything more away I endanger ever getting anything else cool ever again . . . so no, I can neither confirm nor deny any guesses, good or bad. But just think of the bragging rights if you DO get it right!

I do have a couple strong suspicions based on hints I got yesterday from "a guy that knows a guy"

My money is on Rocketruppen. Here's why…

• They're in the fluff/comics, but not included yet in-game
• They need fancy armor to keep rocket fuel from burning them up
• Mack Martin said, "Look to the skies 2-3 times in a recent interview when asked about new releases

I dont think the type 4 soldiers are going to be the Rocketruppen. In the fluff and comics they are lightly armored like the Type 2 soldiers with some insulation on the rear areas.

The "Look to the skies" comment could just as easily referance the coming Vrill invasion.

Actually, vrill was my first thought of what he was referring to, but it didn't fit in all the places. Could be the SSU drop Walkers, but I thought they would be armor units, not soldier.

Did I mention I don't have a lot of money, when I say my money is on…?
