where are you????

By COCLCG, in CoC General Discussion

to try and hopefully bring some cohesion to the small community of CoC gamers, i'd love it even if you never post, to let us all know where you are. i've been on here for a couple of months, and only just found out today i have a fellow australian on the site!!! so go ahead, network some and maybe we can all get a few more games in a year. and please don't just scroll through looking for others in your area and not post, because chances are there's someone in your area doing the same!!

hi, i'm from MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA!!!

ok, i'm not going to hide my disappointment so far with this one. perhaps some of you are limited to a mouse and no keyboard, as this is the only RATIONAL explanation i can think of for not typing 2 simple words. 13 views and no responses?? c'mon people.

You have successfully shamed me into posting my name and location…

Hello, my name is Matt and I'm a cultist (cue Forced Response : Hi, Matt!)

I live in Portland, Oregon. For those outside North America (or even for some of you who aren't), that's in the Pacific NW region of the United States. And yes, it's raining today.

I suspect that the FFG forums are viewed by a great many people who have not made accounts. Hence the views and lack of responses in the 20 minute span between your original post and your reply.

Though I will hazard to guess this thread will earn the Blasphemous Revelation title for revealing so many secrets.

Back on topic though…

My name is Hubert Montague Snodgrass and I dwell in Innsmouth, Mass.

My name is David Boeren, hailing from Marietta, Georgia - a northwest suburb of Atlanta.

well thats even worse!! make accounts and get involved!! don't be shy, our decks may bite but we certainly don't (in so far as i'm aware)

thanks to those who have posted their locations (name's not necessary but makes it easier to say HI MATT, DAVID and …… ahem…….. HUBERT). that actually looked pretty easy!!!

Hubert,

Is Blasphemous Revelation a restricted card? If so, buh-bye Khopesh - I know what's going into my tournament deck!

Back on topic: It's good to see I'm not alone in this Cultists Anonymous meeting. I'm looking forward to the coffee and donuts at the end.

Duesseldorf, Germany

I just recently started playing this (and really, all of the LCGs). I'm Steve, and I live in Catonsville, MD.

Nope. It's even worse.

FFG classifies it as "Non-Euclidean" and cannot be printed on normal paper, thus not legal for sanctioned play within the Euclidean reality we inhabit.

the ball is rolling!! thanks people who have posted. just quickly, its not just about people already having groups established / knowing everyone in the area. i'd also like this list / topic be a really quick reference full of really quick locations, for those that are travelling / holidaying and want to get in a quick game while they're on their way, or for those who aren't possibly getting a fresh perspective from someone new as they pass through!! Dark Initiate hit the nail right on the head, though a brief hello is always welcomed!!

I'm in Seattle Washington and am just getting into this game. Hope there are others in my area.

If you're in Seattle, you may like to know we're holding the only CoC Regional Championship west of the Mississippi in Portland on June 23rd. The event is 100% beginner friendly - several participants have just started playing in the last month.

Here's a link to a thread with all the info:

Hey COCLCG, this thread was a pretty smart idea after all!

I'm near Scranton, Pennsylvania. Not much of a meta here sadly. I drive down to Philly to play with The Professor's group every month or so.

Unless something comes up I'll be making a trip to Portland that Saturday!

well there you go!! 1 connection made already, and if that's all that comes from it then purpose served, but i'm hoping for many, MANY more.

and if i was you ssjevot, i wouldn't pass on the opportunity. from what i've gathered, Yipe couldn't be a more gracious and enthusiastic host, and will make you feel more than welcome and appreciated. you couldn't ask for a better introduction to the game and the people in your area.

and hello steve from Catonsville, and jesus from california!! hopefully we can hook you up with some people too.

I live in Owensboro, KY. Im about 2 hours away from Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY. 3 hours away from Lexington, KY. Anyone near me hit me up and we will play some cthulhu!

Binghamton, NY here. I play all of FFG's LCG's so if you would like a game, message me!

Helsinki, Finland here.

salzburg, austria

also playing AGOT (and good old MECCG)

Hey, is there a game store you play at up in Binghamton? That is a pretty easy drive for me in Scranton, only about 1.5 hours.

mart… portland, oregon… 'sup y'all?

Fashionably late, yup …

Grant, based in Portland OR, but I travel.

Good effort on this one, cheers. I think we could also get a ton of new players if we got FFG to adopt a new tagline

Call of Cthulhu LCG - it's douchebag kryptonite !

[not nearly as funny as non-euclidean sacrilege, but maybe someone laughed ;p]
