Errata for At the Breaking Point?

By martimer, in Tide of Iron

The left most three yellow 'victory hexes' on board 8B of the set-up diagram shows clear terrain. Those actual hexes of board 8B are Woods hexes, but there are no red overlay indicators on the set-up diagram. So, which is correct for this scenario, clear or woods?

Also, the half woods hex on the right side of board 11B shows up as clear on the set-up diagram, also no overlay indicator. Woods or clear?

I am inclined to believe that the first 'problem' is caused by clear terrain graphics on the objective artwork, but not sure about the second 'problem' unless I missed a rule stating "Where two half hex terrain indications meet up along board edges, treat as clear terrain."

Thanks.

I bought the game yesterday and immediatly started a game with a friend. We picked "Breaking Point" and have the same question. Are those three victory hexes clear as in the map artwork or are they supposed to be wooded (as indicated by the missing red border and the game setup example in the rulebook)?

I thought the same thing at first, but if you get under good light and really look carefully you'll notice that is actually wooded after all, and it is simply obscured by the yellow shading. So yes...it is wooded.

Buddy of mine and I sat down to play our first game of this tonight. Picked this same scenario and saw what you mean about the hexes. Fortunately, I had alreay checked out this post and it saved us some confusion. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention...like the game. It reminds me of Squad Leader without having to continuously be in the rulebook. Of course with our first game we spent a lot of time doing just that, but after a couple of turns that seemed to go away.

I must say it was pretty miserable playing as the Germans for this particular scenario. I have quite a few ideas on how I could have played it better, but the constant flow of new reinforcements on the American side seems to be quite overwhelming. Not sure that I would able to win had I handled it differently, but I may have put up a better show of it anyways.
