Some of my newly painted Dust Warfare Models - Honey and Axis Heavy Laser

By MiniJunkie, in Dust Warfare

Hey guys,

Wanted to share a couple of models I just finished (the Honey was just finished literally a few mins ago). Even though I spent "extra" time on the Honey, I'd say it only took me 2-3 hours max. Probably closer to 2.

I really like the Dust range of models. With life getting busier and busier, it's pretty nice to skip the assembly and priming stage and get right to painting. I also don't find the models THAT bendy (obviously the Honey is made of the harder plastic). There's plenty of opportunity for the hobbiest to spend time painting and touching up these models to give them some extra visual oomph on the battlefield.

The bases are being left bare for now while I figure out what I want to do with them. Pretty sure I want to do "urban ruin" (lots of dust, bricks etc) but haven't quite figured out how to do it to a high visual standard. I ordered some shades of MIG pigment (mostly greys) to use for that, but don't have them yet.

Anyway, hope you like them!

Wow, that's crazy good. Love the contrast the red cabling gives

Thanks - I was actually just looking at the shots and debating if they are "too much" on the Honey. Maybe black or dark brown on the Honey's cables would have been better. Tough to say :)

Well done! I like the honey a lot.

Without seeing them in real life, I say keep them as is, really brings a cool pop to the model.

Those are very nice! I really can't wait to see them with finished bases, too.

Yeah, I'd leave them red. Looks very good. Did you use an airbrush on the honey?

Yeah, love the Honey. I just got mine this past week, and am saving your pictures for inspiration when it comes time to paint mine.

Yep i use an airbrush and regular bushes.
