Question about Regroup Order and Reaction Markers

By MiniJunkie, in Dust Warfare

Hey guys, just learning the rules…

When you issue a Regroup Order in the Command Phase, a unit removes all of it's Suppression and Reaction markers. But I'm wondering: how would a unit have a reaction marker still in place, in the Command Phase? Don't you remove all reaction markers in the End Phase, and there are no reactions during the Command Phase?

Yeah they shouldn't have reaction markers as the rules are now, but who knows what kind of crazieness we can expect from SSU or future units maybe they are allowed to react in the command phase by taking an overwatch in the previous game turn or something. I am just guessing at reason for why it may be worded that way, other then just to cover their asses for future potential rules expansions.

My first read through I figured it was written thusly to interact with the Schwer Platoon's Take Charge order, or perhaps some hero's special ability, but upon more thorough readings of the rules, I have to agree with Denied and speculate it is in place for future possibilities. However, it'll be far future based upon my reading of the first four SSU hero cards for DT, I don't see any abilities there which would lend themselves to interacting with this rule. Perhaps SSU platoon orders?

Player A destroys a Punisher with Hell Boys inside in Command Phase

Hell Boys are left with reaction marker on them.

Player B has his command phase and Regroups Hell Boys and removes reaction marker.

There ya go! Dang, I've got to get those Allied Heavies so I can be aware better of their interactions with the rules.

And yeah, the SSU have two heroes coming out with the Pilot skill (Koshka & Nikolai), which I'm sure will act the same way when their Walker gets blown out from under them.

Never even thought about that one Felkor, good catch man.
