Painted zombie conversions

By gunther7, in Dust Warfare

The hardest part of painting these was deciding on how I wanted my zombie's flesh to look. In the end I decided on a simple wash of some reaper flesh shade ink, which gave them a greenish cast applied straight to the official dust models, but was much better when applied over the light grey primer used on the incursion and secrets of the 3rd reich conversions. Then used Vallejo dead flesh to highlight. Reaper ruby red ink was used on all the bloody parts.

Excellent job sir! Really impressive looking minis wish I had a set myself.

Looking good Gunther. And I like the Totenmeister and gorilla models as well. Keep it up. I gots me some monkeys and dead things to paint up now as well as I just finished all the human dudes for both my armies, so on to the supernatural!

These are very nice looking. Where did you get the arms/weapons that you put on them? Working on building my own zombie platoon, and have picked up some other models, but I haven't found anything I loved to convert them. Really like what you have done.

Raided my bits box for a few of the pieces, 1 piece is a forgeworld chaos marauder arm with weapon attached and I know I used a few left over death guard of krieg blades. The supersized panzerfists are rather old GW orc plastic power claws, still have a bunch of those left over. But most are just copies of Dust Panzerfists I made after pulling a couple off and making a quick mold that I could reuse.
