Arkham Comics

By RobbertDG, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Maybe this question/suggestion has already been posted, but in case not… here you go.

FFG artists have done some lovely graphic artwork around the lovecraftian realm. So, why not make a comicbook? I know they wouldn't be the first, but so aren't they with the novels.

I for one would LOVE to see FFG Arkham/Lovecraftian Comics! The realm and atmosphere created by H.P. Lovecraft calls for some visual support, in a dark and horrific way.

Anybody else sharing this opinion?

I agree, but at least there is an excellent webcomic: www.lovecraftismissing.com

It's been stopped for a while due to the author's personal problems, but the archives will keep you occupied for quite some time :)

Thanks for the hint. Looks like a lot of reading material indeed :-)

I wish they'd do a full-length flash video like the one for Elder Sign, using all this great artwork from the games. I'd watch it.

Ever hear of "Arkham Woods" graphic novel? Not based on the game, but it is based off HPL and takes place in the present day. And of course the "Mountains Of Madness" graphic novel adaptation is incredible.

Heh heh…glad I've spread the Madness …..

My local Barnes and Nobles finally carries this graphic novel! They also have a present-day "Dunwich Horror"/"The Hound" adaptation which looks really good… (They also sell the Arkham Horror base game, and Elder Sign- believe it or not)

well I would tend to disagree, since most of lovecraft work is on things that cannot even be described. gui%C3%B1o.gif

I guess you're right, but I've read some good comics based on his work. And I'm a sucker for beautiful (and terrifying) illustrations ;-)

[spoilerS] (sort-of)

The Dunwich Horror graphic novel I leafed thru handles this problem brilliantly. I can't imagine a scarier comic-book adaptation of the Dunwich Horror creature…
