(Thought it was a hoax, but is not) Seasons Packs Reprint Imminent!

By Fieras, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Where did you see this? It looks like a retailer's advertisement.

Friend linked it on facebook.

Well that would be great if it was true; right now on eBay I was mildly surprised to see Winds of Winter at $48.00 until I saw an auction for Song of Summer currently at $123.50 which brought a whole new meaning to the term "mildly surprised." You should find out from where your friend got that because we'd all like to know.

now, all I want is a Queen of Dragons reprint and a Kings of the Storm reprint and I'm set. and really, I'd love all the 40 card packs to be reprinted as 60 card packs, but who knows if that will happen.

Happy time!! Gonna get me some more A Time of Ravens…

Babysteps… It's just thrilling to finally get this cycle reprinted. It brings hope to the last remaining one.

It feels like christmas again

Wow, this means I can finally play Stark with Northern Cavalry.

It's about time!
Hope they've incorporated the erratas into the reprint (they've been good with that so far)!

I love the title, who would bother to hoax agot players anyway? =P

In other news, Thank God! This is definitely the cycle I've been needing the most, haven't even started with the other reprints.

Praise R'hllor!

Card availability is what LCG is all about!

I recently bought a couple packs of Scattered Armies, so it should still be available outside the reprint. Maybe they finally sold out of that last pack allowing them to reprint the cycle.

Very very very very exciting news :)

Here's to hoping that A Clash at Arms isn't too far behind.

I'm guessing if they didn't include it that they probably aren't forthcoming. Although I do seem to remember someone seeing that they overprinted the first cycle. Meaning the 2nd cycle would run out sooner, I'm guessing.

I know finding the second chapter, Ancient Enemies for the Clash of Arms cycle has been pretty tough! I need MOAR BEAR ISLANDS!!! So, maybe that means the cycle is selling out too might get a reprint "soonish"

Glad I lost that auction!

Also to be honest there are very very few must have cards from the first chapter pack set. Thus while it will be nice to have those reprinted, it was imperative that the seasons be reprinted. The seasons make or break whole archetypes while nothing in the first set approaches that power.

It's also where the most Restricted and Banned cards seem to stem from. I wonder if they will be creating any errata'd printed text for them like they did the Blood of the First Men agenda.

Reprinting Banned cards would seem to be a waste for them, so I suspect at least those will be changing to at least make them Restricted is unbanned at all.

Its a bit unfair to say the bold part, while its true its a bit misleading. Not counting the fury plots there are are only 2 restricted cards for the ACOA chapter pack of which both are out of Lannister. Yes there are 2 banned cards but the cycle as a whole is actually pretty hit or miss in terms of strength.

Really its the same with the Time for Ravens cycle. Everyone will buy Summer and Winter +refugees but the others will be hit and miss.

I completely agree.

There are some really nice cards like Old Nan, Devious Intentions, Castellan of the Rock, Pyromancer's Cache, Maester of War, the Fury Plots, Dragon Thief, To Be A … events, Jory Cassel, Fishwiskers, Banner for the Storm, etc to name a few. Many are used in several competitive decks.

There are plenty of dud cards too unfortunately. Several events and locations that are probably inherited from some of the old CCG style of cards.

Just to derail the thread for a bit since we are talking about the first cycle; is there a reason why "Compelled by the Rock" is still banned with the release of more ridiculous attachment control/hate (i.e: Tin Link). I am excited to see the seasons packs reprinted and watch as both Stark and Targ (the only two I play against) get most benefit though.
