Is anyone else excited about this expansion? I haven't been able to find much info about it though.

To the North of Terrinoth, across the Sea of White Fangs, lies cold and desolate Isheim, the Land of Ice. After millennia of sleep in this frozen realm, the Ancients are beginning to stir. These strange and powerful creatures arise to serve the wrath of their immortal master, Arshan the Mad. The Years of the White Death are at hand, a time when doom shall claim all peoples who call this land home. Unless a hero can brave this unforgiving landscape and stand against the woeful and destructive might of Arshan, all of Isheim will be destroyed.

Runebound: The Frozen Wastes takes place on a never-before seen continent in the world of Terrinoth. The volatile weather in Isheim constantly changes during the game, making the threat of frostbite and white death very real. The game features six new heroes, new winter survival gear, and new icy terrain types such as snow drifts and tundra. New creatures include vicious icewyrms, menacing wendigos, and formidable frost giants.

I was excited to see this and look forward to playing. The Island of Dread has been my favourite so far.

i bet it'll have a lot of moving/changing terrain, like isle of dread, or the sandstorm in sands.

But the burning question is will we really get it for christmas?

I'm going to go on a limb and say we'll have to wait longer than next month to see it in stores. But that's my thought...

I think the ffg designers did a great job with "Sands" and I'm looking forward to this expansion.

I think may be next year sometime frozen wastes will appear or may not at all i hope i am really wrong on that as i can wait for more runebound more goodness but i think runebound seems to be not getting the love it needs from FFG anymore

I keep on looking for more info as to when this is coming out but I can't find anything.

My current guess is for late spring, given that FFG has given virtually no new info on this expansion. (Note I just said "late spring," I didn't say what year!)

Rhune bound is one of my favorites and I instantly buy everything for it. I am very excited about the new expansion.

Frozen wastes---sounds like my garbage can in the winter... or my middle...

But having gotten that out of my system....like everyone else here, I look forward to the coming of this expansion and have bought mittens and earmuffs in anticipation. The dice are kept in the freezer and brought out just to play this expansion. If it's as good as Sands, it will be terrific.

Hopefully it will be better than Sands (and I agree on Sands being a terrific xpansion)!

We played Runebound a great deal before the 2nd edition came out and got a bit burned out on it. I now have all the big box expansions (and 2nd edition), but we haven't played any of them yet.

I am glad to hear Sands is a good expansion and will have to try it soon. I am also looking forward to buying (and playing!) Frozen Wastes.

You would be well advised to crack open the 2nd edition and give it a whirl.....ASAP!

The xpansions are just icing to the cake: taste the difference first.

My opinion is that the Frozen Wastes expansion is awesome, but it is also quite easy comparing to the basic game.
