Dust Insignia/Iconography Query

By BDub, in Dust Warfare

Does anyone know of any explanations or references on the Dust insignia and iconogrphy. For example; looking at Sigrid Walker, is the winged skull her particular insignia, is it her tanks', or is it associated with the Blut Kruetz? Are there any particular insignia for different platoons or theaters of war, etc.

Thanks for any info.

PS, right now I am doing Afrika Korps themed Axis, using the traditional historical iconography with some liberties as needed.

I was kind of hoping this would be included in the core Warfare book along with the other "fluff" material. I get the impression that there isn't any organization or meaming to the various insignias outside of their aestetics -- for example, I think its "the Hammers" that come out of the box with a yellow star & cricle but the premium models have a different decal, both of which are different from the symbol on Rhino's chest (who has the same suit/weapons and seems intended to be paired with that unit).

The winged skull, the squid etc. don't seem to be intended to designate any walker/hero/unit in any particular way -- HOWEVER, I think it would be cool to adopt one of those insignias for your army and put it on all of the units in the platoon(s) you plan to play with.

You can find some reference here .

That's pretty cool --

Thanks, sparse but helpful.

This is essentially what I am doing - Trying to create my own and be internally consistent.
