5 Player A Game Of Thrones

By NetraLexy, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hi,

I've recently bought some of the expansions to AGOT:LCC and was wondering if you can play a 5 player game using the Greyjoys?

The reason I ask this is I have a family of 5 and we all want to play together. I have the Expansions for Stark, Lannister and the Greyjoys one.

Your assistants would be appreciated.

You can play the game with 5 (or 6) players. It works just the same way as with 4. With more players, games tend to run quite long, especially if there are newbies who don't know the cards well. It can also get quite chaotic, and keeping track of all the effects can be a bit difficult. But there's really no reason why you couldn't play with 5. Many people think it's a blast with 5 or 6, if you don't mind a bit of chaos.

Also note that you can have several players with the same House.

5 is actually pretty fun, but especially with people learning the game, make sure you've got a table where people will be able to reasonably see each other's cards. I played a 5 player melee on one of those standard 8" white folding tables. I had no clue what cards the player at the other end had most of the time.
