Map of Footfall?

By Tron_18, in Rogue Trader

I'm looking for a map of Footfall, either official or fan-made. Anyone know of one? I've been reading through the Gazetteer in Lure of the Expanse, but I really need a map to help put the locations together in my head -- as well as to show the players.

(Also I'd be interested in a map of Port Wander)

Thanks!

you can find a map of port wander in Into the Storm. I'd be interested in a Footfall map as well…

This isn't much. But here is a map I used. It was crafted with google image search and MS Paint :) i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn48/seekerofshadowlight/Rogue%20Trader/footfallbase3.jpg

well its something though. Simple and effective. Just curious, what scale is the pic my guess would be that footfall would cover about 1 VU. Or is it actually much smaller?

Footfall is a void settlement and the rough estimate of void unit is around 100.000 km. For a human sized construction to reach that size would be extreme. While I believe footfall is large I don´t think its is nearly that big.

I would guess if we think it as a series of interlocked astroieds it might reach the lenght of 1000 km maybe 2000 km

I do not know the size of footfall, I use a large footfall, 50k, so about 5 VU, you can use a smaller footfall with that map however.

1VU is 10.000. As a reference Earth is roughly 1VU (1.27 VU or 12.700 km).

Lets try myself based on the picture:

The biggest asteroid known to man is Ceres which is roughly 1000km in diameter (0.1VU).

Assuming that were talking large asteroids then the big rocks in the pic I would assume at 750 km.

*scales pic in PS*

Results in the width of the pic being a bit more then 20000 km and a bit less then 9500. So 2x1 VU

some additional info: for a 1000km long astroid the gravity is about 1/40 of that of earth. For the one of 750km this is roughly 1/50. This means that you can jump 50x as high as you can on earth. On earth you can make a base jump of about 1 so… roughly 50m high jump. Note that you will land with about the same force as that you apply in your jump.

Feel free to use any scale you like. I use a much larger footfall with it spread across roughly 50k, Most of which is not inhabited. Some are hollowed out rocks, some are domes, some are just lashed togather junk with working gravity. Over all a good rule of thumb I feel is when inside a dome/building/hab..you have earth grav.
