Picking up the Pieces.

Any one played this scenario yet? It looks quite unballanced. How on earth is the germans supposed to regain control of the blue marker, once the Paratroopers sit on it?

To me it looks as if the forces on the beach are hardly needed!

Looks indeed inbalanced, but from what I read it is sufficient for the german player to kill two of the paratrooper squads, so I'd say F*** the beach, just move all german troops to the backland and kill these two squads. Maybe leave two squads in the bunkers to shoot and hold the objectives.

Still pretty tough to kill those elite paratroopers. Hopefully the german player get's some good cards... Mortars & destructible buildings might be a key too, though very luck depending with 6 hits needed...

I think I will try to set a game up, where I only use the Paras and leave the rest of the brits at home. If this cant be won by the germans, the scenario is a loss.

The way I read the scenario objectives the BRITISH need to get to the blue objective marker and NOT the Americans. If that were so, they could simply move a squad on the objective in the first turn and wn immediately since they move first. I'm sure that's not the intention of the designers....They may be played by the British player but they're still referred to as American paras.

That is not what the scenario states. It say clearly that the american elites are only representative of the british 6th airborne. thus if the paratroopers can hold the objective throughout turn 6 - the british win. It is not an emidiate win though. The germans can win instantly if they remove two para squads from the city.
