I have another question about TOI Normandy:
The crater token says among other things: Cover is enhanced by 2. Does this also apply to a hex with say an entrenchment in it and that a unit in an entrenchment would get a cover of 4 or should the entrenchment be considered " a hex within a hex" ?

I think, because the cover from the crater stacks with the terrain of the hex, and the entrenchment cover stacks with the hex's overall cover, that the entrenchment and the crater covers stack....

I disagree.
I think the enhancement of +2 cover is supposed to be on top of the base terrain cover, not added to other enhancements such as trenchs or pillboxes. Only one squad can be in a trench or pillbox anyway and that squad can't be in the trench and in the crater at the same time, or in a pillbox and in the crater at the same time.
Whatever the official answer is we always try and take the most realistic approach possible.

This is also how we played it for the same reason you mention here, but I'd like to have an " official" word on it anyway. If we don't like the official response we might still choose to use common sense which would lead to your interpretation....
