Axis ambush cammo

By guest99239, in Dust Warfare

I'm part way through trying anew cammo scheme - trying to go for a dust take on hetzer ambush cammo -however I've got so far and I'm thinking of completely repainting - I think the pattern is too busy maybe? I'd love some feedback, thoughts from you guys before I go ahead

I think it looks sharp, particularly the base level pattern. The contrast between the dark camo and bright specks looks a bit too dramatic though. If you pulled the white specks and black specks towards grey, the visual busyness would ease.

I think the, "black specks" are actually the same maroon as one of the base colors, but I do agree taking the white to a slightly darker color, such as a light grey, or olive drab, and the maroon specks going towards a reddish-brown would make the vehicle less garish.

However, having said thus, I'd have to say its really fine the way it is if you're doing scenario play in most of the, "Dust Fluff World" campaigns thus far, as that would be an effective ambush camo in urban winter areas, IMHO.

I actually rather like it as is, and, "effective" is more important in the field than "pretty." gui%C3%B1o.gif

I like the ambush scheme, but as suggested I think a Light grey or khaki would look better than white for the spots.

White is a very high contrast color and will always stand out, especially when used on a scale model. Using a dirty white or light grey will get the same effect but will look much better visually.
