Just wondering.....

Ive been trying 2 collect every card in the older sets for a while now and now all i need is one lonely signature style and ill have the entire block 1 set(minus the promos) but all the cards from the sets plus penny arcade and the battle box.

How much do you think somethin like that would be worth and do you think the value of the older cards are goin 2 increase with passing years? i know it probable wont escalate like magic but is there a chance that it will?

I would say that the value of block 1 UFS cards wont be going up anytime soon. The format is not well liked by most people..just because of the sheer brokeness of the cards :D It makes the game unfun to play, but you never know...

As far as the price of a signature style?? I dunno..it shouldn't be too much, somewhere from $1 - $10 ...unless of course you tell people WHY you want it, then they might try and jack the price up on ya because they know you want it.

It shouldn't be worth a lot. With no real intention from FFG to support legacy (which is why WE need to do something about it, and that something is preferably tournaments), the prices of those cards won't go up anytime soon.

Hatman speaks many truths with this statement.

As far as collecting, I'm personally collecting every character, and I've amassed a large collection of them, including all of SC1P's characters, so I know how it feels for you. I don't see block 1's value going up, for the reasons mentioned already, but that doesn't mean you should give up in your search.

yeah i figured as much as for the signature style im either goin to post up a trade list for it of just buy it online its about 5 bucks on coolstuff but that takes all the fun out of it

God do you know how hard it was to get a hold of a close to the edge and a start over......and to beat it all i didnt get a *Ivy until yesterday talk about a bummer

For the sake of comparison, Signature Style should have peaked at $25, Start Over at $40, and Close to the Edge at (???) $25 when they were tournament legal (i.e., before any block rotations). Although it sounds like people value or perhaps valued those cards for less, those are the prices that I'm familiar with. I wish I had a set of my own when they were legal rather than a single Start Over. *sigh*

Great cards, including Close to the Edge but exactly why is a well kept local secret. *shudders*
