Weather deck and heavy MG in bunker questions

By boersma8, in Tide of Iron

I've also sublitted these questions to FFG directly, so I hope to get an official answer soon, but I'm also wondering how other players see this. Below you find part of) the message i sent to the FFG staff:

I've started playing TOI Normandy and I have a few rule questions:

1.) In the weather deck (fog for example) there's mention of " maximum RANGE" . Does this mean that a unit's LONG range could still be double that number (or is it really any unit's maximum LONG range as well?)

2.) Are units in bunkers fatigued when they use the heavy machnine gun as a special action ( or can they also still fire using their own firepower?)

1.) I'd guess long range = maximum range already. Units can't shoot beyond long range, that's what I call a maximum gui%C3%B1o.gif

2.) We fatigued'em, but it's not clear by the rules. I asked FFG a while ago if a bunker squad can be suppressed by the card Suppressive Support. Normally, the bunker sqcannot be attacked the suppressive way, but the card does not "attack", but placing a pinned token on the squad. Didn't receive an answer on this yet, the question got lost I fear, as other Q's got answered pretty quick. What do you think of this situation?

Well, I could imagine them panicking because their comrades might be getting shot to pices or sth. On the other hand, seeing that units in bunkers can't be surpressed...I could live with either ruling, but I agree it's not quite clear....

As far as the long range thing. I'm sure that's the idea of the card, but there was a similar question once ( sorry don't remember the details, think it was a card in DoTF) and range could then still be doubled to long range, but I agree that's probably not the intention here. Would like to make sure though, which is why I asked....

Got an answer by Rob on this, I though I'd share:

The card would still take effect.
