Three Character Questions…

By rdskinfn7, in Talisman Rules Questions

1. Under the Dragon Hunter's special abilities, he may move to the closest Dragon on another space in his region. If a character were on the same space as a Dragon, could the Dragon Hunter move to the space using his special ability but then choose to encounter the character instead of the Dragon? The ability does not say you must then encounter the Dragon after moving to his space although it could be implied.

2. The Dragon Priestess has and ability which allows her to offer a sacrifice to a Dragon she encounters which results in her praying with the same results as at the temple. May she then use her special ability to perform a ritual and alter her prayer score? The answer to this question has been alluded to in a different thread, but I was unable to actually find it.

3. How does the time card affect the Assassin? The Blood Moon rules state that during the day, each creature subtracts 1 from its attack score during battle and psychic combat, and during the night, each creature adds 1 to its attack score during battle and psychic combat. Attack score is defined as the total of the creature's attack roll and Strength. I guess the more pertinent question is, is the +/- 1 applied to the Strength / Craft directly or to the die roll? If the +/- 1 is applied to the Strength / Craft it would seem that the time card affects the Assassin the same way as every other character, but if the +/- isn't applied until the die roll, it would seem that the Assassin is not affected by the time card.

1. Yes he can still choose to encounter a character or the space (the wording does not prohibit this at all you are correct).

2. Yes she can.

3. Attack score = The attack roll + the characters Strength + any other modifiers that may apply (page 10 of the rulebook). If the Assassin assassinates a creature, it still receives the addition or subtraction to its attack score (the creature does not have an attack roll when assassinated).
