I have a question about the Brood War:

Lockdown: The card says, science vessels and corsairs loose their attack capabilities. What does that mean? Irradiate, EMP, etc. is discarded when you use lockdown? Because the science vessel doesnt have attack capability, except its reinforcement cards.

The part about Science Vessels is bull. They loose something they don't have. Lockdown affects the FLU, AFAIK. Nothing more.

Science vessels have no attack capability for either ground or air units. In that section of the game card all they have indicated is that they are an air unit with no air or ground attack capability. In their support section they have indicated that they are an assist unit and act as a detector.

Since they have no ground or air attack ability, even if they end up in the frontline and using minor values, they don't have any capability to affect ground or air units.

This is why the lockdown doesn't actually affect them - they don't have any attack capabilities to lose.

The only way I could see a lone assist unit killing someone is a defiler with the "auto-splash" card (sorry I don't remember the exact name) So if ever a science vessel is alone in a skirmish, the best it can do is survive... for some time...

Just so. There is really no way that a lockdown on an assist unit could mess their capabilities because they simply HAVE NONE that would be affected.
