London, UK players

By Cannor2, in Dust Warfare

Hi all. I'm Cannor (or Alex when not on the interwires) and as of last week I've fallen completely for Dust Warfare. :)

A friend brought over Dust Warfare and some Dust Tactics minis last Friday evening, and we played for what must have been 6 or 7 hours (the birds were chirping when we finally stopped, I remember that!). I've played a couple of minis games before, but they always left me with the feeling of something missing, that "If only it had…" feeling. But for me, DW is just "it". It's THAT game. Alternate WW2, great minis (affordable, too!), and a great ruleset that lets you do things in response to your opponent and isn't just "You have your turn while I make a brew".

Anyway, enough intro, time to ask something useful! Are there any other London, UK DW players out there? I'm going to pick up DW and the DT core set this Wednesday, so if you're out there, let's get some games organised!

Evening Alex.

Kentish gamer here. We have a miniatures gaming group down this end in most major cities.

Hi Alex, I play in a couple of London gaming clubs. Mainly Warmachine, with a bit of GW and other stuff thrown in, but both have just been bitten by the Dust bug!

The first is CGC in London Bridge, our forum is here: www.crossgamingclub.com/forum/

The second is OG games (run by the guy who owns the OG Games website, they also sell Dust minis at a good discount, nice little advert there!) meeting in Wandsworth, site is at: www.ogforum.co.uk/

Oh, sorry, should have said - both clubs meet in pubs so it's over 18s only, hope that's not a problem.

ha. never knew you were down my way major. A big hello from Canterbury way

@teleologica: Wow, two clubs in London playing Dust, quite close to each other, too. Don't worry. I'm a few years over the 18 mark. :) Also, I didn't know OG Games is in London.

@Mishap & caecitas: I definitely want to visit some clubs outside of London, too. It's good to travel outside of your neck of the woods every now and then.

youd be very welcome conner, though id sugest asking major over myself - the major group in canterbury has yet to take to dust like a duck to water, so we all tend to play at my place.

It's only a matter of time, caecitas, only a matter of time. The bug will strike without warning and zombies (and walkers… and eventually helicopters) will invade the gaming tables of Canterbury!

When I said the two London clubs were close to each other, I was thinking of Battersea's location instead of Wandsworth for some reason. They're still sort of close, and easy to get to by public transport from Paddington (where I am).
