Updated Unit Cards

By felkor, in Dust Warfare

Hey guys,

For those of you using my unit cards, I've updated them to reflect the most recent FAQ, as well as made a couple minor updates.

You can get them here:

In Microsoft Word (docx) format:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B7EBY279BZSWVXM0UW14VEpBR0U

In PDF format:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B7EBY279BZSWNDk4ZU51V3REUEk

Updates:
Changed # of UGLs on Recon Boys from 4 to 2.
Added "Fast" special ability to Sutrmpionere.
(Other Errata I already anticipated and were in my original unit cards.)

Also updated:
Changed description of Fast to include the fact that it can only be used once per turn.
Updated GrenateWerfer Indirect Fire description to include that it gets unlimited range.
A couple other very small typo fixes that you probably won't even notice.

I truly hope you make more of these as units come out, the format is orginized and easy to use and its all in one place making these a "better to use format" than maybe the others are at this point . the pdf format is great and easy for everyone to use, your attention to neatness and organization is simple and elegant to use. ; ) thank you for your efforts

No problem - glad people are still using them.

My next version will have the walker stats changed so that you only see the specific stats of the walker on the card, rather than all weapons of walkers of that class. Some people found my format with the blue stars confusing - it works but was mainly just to save me time cutting and pasting. Hopefully will have new version up soon.

I don't actually plan on getting any SSU units, so at this point I'm not sure about doing them when they come out. It will partially depend on whether there's enough in the Zverograd campaign book to warrant an interest for someone who isn't actually all that interested in the SSU units.

Thank you!

I sincerely hope FFG makes official ones too together with tokens since they are quite good with those elements. I would pay

My daughter has a bottlecap pendant business (she is 11) and I made all the tokens on cardstock and put them in bottlecaps. didn't cost much and they work great.

The updated unit cards look excellent ….. great work!

For tokens I bought a pack of BINGO chips, printed out the tokens onto label paper, and cut them out and affixed them to the chips - works great. Next I'm going to make ones with numbers to put under the minefield tokens to show density.

Good work… thanks for your efforts!

Thanks for the update. (I'll probably just pencil them in for now)

For tokens I followed the advice from a YouTube video: pop the black Dust Tactics discs out of the bottom of the bases, print out the counters PDF from FFG on full-sheet label paper, cut out the counters using a nickel as a template and attach them to the discs. Free counters and plenty of them, easily made.

I did another update. As long as there aren't any errors (or changes made by FFG), I *think* this should be it. At least until more units come out. :-).

I did 2 changes:

Added (2) to the .30 cal machine guns for the Allied heavy walkers.

Updated all walkers so their stats now only list the weapons they have (rather than showing all weapons and starring the ones they have, as was the case on previous versions.)

Enjoy!

Thanks Felkor you da man. Any chance I can get you to upload the Word files in a differnet spot or break it down into to separate files as Google docs is giving me fits trying to download it and it is too big to email?

The PDF file is much smaller and should work for you. I'll see what I can do about putting the files in a better location though. If anyone has a place where I can FTP up large files, just let me know. :-)

google docs is blocked at work. Any chance of putting these in the Files section for the game on boardgamegeek.com?

cheers Felkor - not bad work atall. I admit i wont be using them but a few of my players are keen. I owe you a pint of bitter.

I'd have to ask FFG for permission, as they are filled to the brim with copyrighted material. Anyone know who I email to ask FFG for permission to post on BGG?

I used the contact form and made a general inquiry. If I get permission, I'll post the cards on BGG.

These cards are brilliant! Thank you VERY MUCH!!!

Awesome thanks

Got the following reply from FFG:

"You may certainly do this for only, as long as it is free, you place "UNOFFICIAL FAN CONTENT" on each card (in small letters) and you take it down if we ask. Thank you."

So I'll try to get the files up on BGG sometime in the near future. It will take a bit of work to get the text on each card, but I'll see if I can get it done and get the files up. Good to hear that FFG is fine with this sort of thing though.

That's pretty cool!

When you post to BGG it would be a good idea to send the moderator a copy of that email to help with approval.

Thanks, that's a good idea.
