Hey fellow DW players ….. I'll be listing two Bazooka Joe and two Sigrid models on eBay after the Memorial Day holiday. I managed to pick up three of the original starter sets for around $70 each. I am also considering listing the buildings from the last two expansions …. both buildings are still in the box and ready to go.

Any chance those are Premium versions of Joe & Sig?

Sorry but no …. they are green for Joe and grey for Sigrid.

*Shrug*. Guess its time to stop being lazy and paint mine. I sure miss the days when I had the eyesight and steady hands to paint a mini to the Premium level in an hour or two. Now it takes 4-6, depending on errors.

There are a number of painting services for models out there… im from utah so blue table painting comes to mind right away, most will can buy, assemble and paint everything at once then ship it to yah. But i feel your pain i have 3 desks full of stuff in ye ol paintn que at the moment. 5 models right next to me to finish off the starter set off allies, and about 15 for laser Gs to for axis… and thats just Dust…

Call me crazy, but I think painting is some of the fun. Certainly some of the ownership. Although the Americans are driving me crazy. Ever seen any WWII GIs in color? We made everything different shades of olive drab, and it all faded unevenly. They're taking a lot more work than my Germans did.

I'm still trying to figure out what color to paint the SSU models ….. LOL!

Okay, You're crazy! lengua.gif

Actually, I totally agree with you. It's just that at my age, my abilities have deteriorated to the point where it takes 6-10 times as long as it used to to paint. And, I'm at an age where I have the least amount if free time available to me. Bad combination. Hopefully when I retire, I'll still have some talent left. gui%C3%B1o.gif

I agree with Mr. Call me Crazy. Painting to me is as much fun as the actual gaming is. But I also understand where your coming from Shadow so here just for you is a really quick and easy way of painting that gives great results. mageknightkevin.blogspot.com/2010/02/painting-28mm-wwii-us-paratroopers.html

If I hadn't already finished almost all of my allied army I would give it a try myself.

LOL you guys sure know how to derail the topic!
