Audio Interview with Mack Martin

By Craig in NH, in Dust Warfare

Hey, guys. Russ and I got a chance to sit down with Mack and chat him up about Dust: Warfare as Adepticon was winding down. We've just uploaded it to our site as bonus content here .

The first 10 minutes or so is primarily announcements and details for a new ap for managing D6 Generation content and premium content packaging, but feel free to fast forward right to the interview if you're not a listener . . . although, if you're NOT a listener . . . after the interview why don't you check us out at thed6generation.com and see if any of our latest episodes catch your fancy?

As for the interview, there's nothing really there to change your mind if you don't like the game. We didn't press him on any tough questions, we didn't grill him on Tactics to Warfare conversion issues, etc. It's just a fun, friendly chat with a game designer about what his vision for :Warfare is, what parts he believes are core to the new game experience, and things like that. A little light listening while you're painting your DUST models. And maybe it'll put a human voice, at least, to one of the guys behind the game.

Thanks!

Downloaded. Thanks for the heads up! :-)

SWEET! thanks man we be listening to this over some games of Dust…

Great interview! Nice to hear Mack's perspective, and nice to hear that FFG is seems really motivated to support the line. Hopefully we'll soon see some of the ideas Mack mentioned regarding the unit cards and player references!

Finally got a chance to listen to this. Wonderful interview, although I'd have mock-coughed out a, "vrill" near the end, just to get a look at his reaction, lol.

Hey, now. We tried to be professional!

We kept the cof-Vrill-cof until after the recorder was off . . . gran_risa.gif

Thanks for the kind words, guys. It was great fun, and awesome to see Mack enjoying the fruits of his labor!

Good interview! (Although I'd expect nothing less of the D6G. :) )

It seems that FFG isn't just motivated, but actually excited to support Dust. I'm not surprised, it has that "X factor" (which, in this case, is totally devoid of people singing awful covers). :)

Excellent interview Craig and Russ!! It is helpful to hear insight from the game designers. He gave me some good ideas on how to play Axis!
