Hi Everyone!

Just a quick question about standing a character, specifically Joffrey Baratheon from the Kings Landing cycle. I have replicated his ability text below:

"Response: After an Opponents character is knelt, pay 1 gold to stand Joffrey Baratheon. Then, he claims 1 power."

If he is already standing, can I use his ability?

So it is legal to try to use his ability if he is already standing, but it is pointless because it will fail to resolve.

In other words, you can pay the gold, but you can't get the power.
