I may be remembering wrong but I think Edge of Night has it when talking about troops in town.
The heraldry in Hero's Call is exactly, and I mean the same images, the same as what is given in Unoforms and Heraldry of the Empire, a 2008 GDW book mostly aimed at WFB but generic in system as it is just fluff etc. So I think you can assume it has not changed.
This is what I hate about the 3rd ed design, they are so busy making sure you buy all of their products that they put no effort in organize or designing their books.
Why did they not put the Reiklander character info along with all the new region characters?
Why did the Signs of Faith not contain the info on Sigmar, Shalia and Morr?
This would have cost 1 or 2 extra pages and ensure that the customer has a Usable reference book.
The core rule set gave the information on Sigmar, Shallya and Morr, so Signs of Faith did not - that would have been selling you the same information twice.
As to the Reikland not being set out in Hero's Call, the mechanical information is all in the core set too. If it's just colours missing, that's really not a huge deal as far as I am concerned - google or a quick check on other Warhammer resources will tell you that stuff.
The stuff I don't like is mostly the Creature Guide repeating some of the same information on all creatures by splitting up entries on them. That was a serious editing goof in my view.

So you mean WFRP 2nd edition has been cheating me for years, selling me the same info in the advanced supplements all those years?
Those bastards!
When I introduce new player to my group and I ask him: “from what region in the empire is you character from?” and he ask: “what the difference?”, I should be able to open up a single book and show him, same with schools of magic and religion.
Advanced supplement should have new content including the old content with its changes; you should be replacing “Tome of Mysteries” with “Winds of Magic” when it comes to game mechanics. This is just common sense and you can see this in most RPG products out there.
Look at Sign of Faith for example: all the new priest have two skills associated with their religion, this is something new and it can be easily seen on each plaque, unfortunately this was not in the older “Tome of Blessings” so there is a small text at the start of the chapter that tells you what skill Sigmar, Shalia and Morr have. How are you going to find this info if you unfamiliar with the content or new to WFRP 3rd? why whould you look for info on Sigmar in the new book ?
I shruder to think what "Old World Armory" would look like if it was published buy FFG (half equipment list?)
FFG has very good people making content but they need a someone to fix how the content is presented.
Here's the Reikland flag btw. From what I read in my wfb heraldry book, it's the eagle of Myrmidia holding the runefang sword and the hammer of sigmar.
It's NOT found in WFRP3 products. I'm just wondering about the production interest by the producers. Simple, obvious omissions, even in a larger product like this, shouldn't be missed, but after working on LIBER FANATICA, I know there's a lot that goes into them. Proofreading has improved in the WFRP products, but there are production design issues now that will need to be worked out.
At any rate, I would have paid for the extra 1/2 page of the Reiklander to be complete..and since we're on the topic, doing some of that symbolism for the dwarfs and other races would have been really cool too. Now I"m going to have to print out some flags and drop them in my copy of Hero's Call.

The eagle of Myrmidia? Really?

Hahahahahahaha
Ain't shooting nobody. :] I like the perspective of Myrmidia as a foreign deity who slowly gains ground inside of the Empire, so Reikland having a symbol related to her as it's banner got me confused. Interesting to know the official setting, anyway. :]
