Online Warfare book available

By zuggzugg, in Dust Warfare

Ordered, purchased, and downloaded. Too bad the download is corrupt sad.gif . I checked it on 2 different pc's to male sure it wasnt just me. I was looking forward to having it at work this weekend. On a positive note I have been using WargamesVault for years and this is the first problem Ive ever had with them.

Would someone let us me know when this is cleared up. I'd like to get a digital copy just for the convenience of the search feature that pdfs can use. That would save me a lot of page flipping.

Anyone know if there is any difference w/ the online vs printed versions? Or has no one got it working yet?

Oh hell yea.

I bought, won't download yet. Sent an email to WV, hopefully fixed soon.

Dust warfare is really 60 bucks! Most people who have the book will most likely buy the pdf as well. Its like console dlc. :P $$.

I want to make sure they open on my droid phone and tablet tho.

It is a PDF, so will open on any supported format… once they actually put a file into the download! corazon_roto.gif

Yeah. Purchased, but not dl'd. Grrrrrr.

Did I just wasted $20? I do hope the problem is fixed soon, since I've been having trouble getting the book for sometime and thought a digital copy is just what I need.

Same problem, bought online (I'm still waiting for my book from Maelstrom) but I only get a 0 byte pdf…

I hope they can fix the problem soon.

I don't know if this is the case, but I've purchased PDF guides for video games, and those can take a while to generate if they're watermarked. Hopefully not hours or anything like that, but they're not necessarily available instantaneously.

Of course, that could be just wishful thinking. Maybe it is just straight up broken.

They have seem to have taken down the page, a sign they are working on it, I hope.

Yeah, DW is their number 1 purchase right now in their hotness column. I'm guessing they'll fix it ASAP. Fingers crossed people.

Wargame Vault is an established company that will the the issue corrected. It is just a matter of when. They are usually pretty quick to respond. I have contacted the owner of the company and we should have something soon.

I followed their instructions for 0kb downloads in their FAQ and contacted their customer service. Knowing its a Saturday, I was not expecting it to be looked at until next Monday at the soonest. However, Gobbo, I have to say, knowing there's even a small chance I'll get my dl later today due to your contacts is pretty cool. Having friends in high places must be cool. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Thanks for looking out for us.

They have taken the product down, so I am pretty sure they are working on it as we type. Lets hope it comes up soon, I could really use it on my Kindle Fire for the Demos this afternoon!!!

Ditto, only for iPad. I did get an email back from a Customer Serbice rep who said the Publisher Service team has been contacted and will be working to correct the issue as soon as possible. I'm impressed they're working on it on a weekend. Very good of them!

They pulled the news from DW front page. What in the world is going on?

That is pretty much in line with my email which said they were in work with the publisher to get the problem (no file at the download location) corrected . Its not just at WargamesVault either but at all the online PDF rules sellers.

Yeah, if it is an issue with teh download redirect, we may not see this until someone at FFG gets the file corrected!!!

Come on FFG fix the problem already. I purchased this on Friday when you announced it. If you have had the time and manpower to retract a news article then you have had time to click and drag the file to the download folder…this is the first time I can say Im upset with your performance. I usually understand typos and manufacturing issues (which you usually fix in good time) but really this is really a simple simple fix.

Are there any news? What i really dont like is FFG and WGV information policy. There are people who have paid for something they never get. And now after nearly three days no word of excuse or any offical information about anything…

Sounds typical FFG to me. Tey make some great stuff, but I have never liked thier customer relations.

That's a bit overstated, isn't it? The past three days have been the weekend. FFG is in Minnesota, and their offices probably won't be open for another hour or so since the problem was found (on Friday). You paid for something your will NEVER get? Really? Never is a long time…

I don't want to make excuses for FFG (they should have put out a quality product in the first place), but when I read overblown statements like these, it just makes me roll my eyes.

I've always had great response from FFG regarding customer service. If I've ever had any problems with a product, they've always more than happy to fix it, to include sending me missing game parts, etc. Yes, they are not a mega-corporation with 24 hr customer service. Shame on them. But aside from that sin, let's be a little reasonable, ok?
