Hi everybody,I still need some light about crafting rules,the fact is the topic has only been touched in the Book of Grudges. Ok in the example: Naida wants to craft a handgun which is a complex item. She needs 2 days to craft it,and 2 g of raw material (one quarter of total value of the gun). Now it is said if she would craft a superior handgun,it would take her a full week,20 g of raw material and the item count as exotic.

Ok,rules are saying,if she crafts a simple handgun,but she gets a Comet on her roll,she has a chance to craft a superior item,or even with 2 Comets she got it.

Now what happen if she tries to craft a superior handgun from the beggining? Does she need a Comet on her roll to have it,or she just needs to succes and if yes,what happen if she gets one or more Comets? Can we count it as an "exceptionnal" item who grant an Expetise dice rather than a Fortune dice?

Others questions: How many time I need to craft a superior sword? And how many time I need to craft a superior Hochland Long Rifle? which I remind you is an exotic item at the base (an heroic task)

Those rules present a good start for crafting. I don't know about how long, in the real world, it would take to craft a sword compared to a handgun, but perhaps someone could elaborate. Most other game systems have such a thing (and WFRP2 probably did as well) and that may be a good place to start.

well somewhat implicit in that question is what happens to an item of quality better than superior. personally i have taken a page out of the engineering section for poor/superior quality stuff.

for example-superior quality can get you that fortune die or any equivolent bonus in the engineer guide, and a poor quality item could have some appropirately equal detriment. our pistoleer just got a poor quality pistol, instead of a misfortune die its unreliability rating was worsened by one.

to more directly answer your question, if you started at superior and ended up with commets, maybe give it increaed stats/abilities like a higher rank engineer enhance
