That is a lot of points for Rhino and the Hammers (great band name!) though. It may represent 1/6 of the enemy army in the games I've played. I wouldn't think twice about using 2 sniper squads to pin them down.
Haha, I've thought the same thing - "Rhino and the Hammers" sounds like some 70s or 80s band with lots of sequins on their clothes to me for some reason.
Yeah, it's a lot of points. My personal preference so far though is to have fewer, stronger, units. This helps me win initiative, my units are harder to kill, and they're going to be better at dealing damage - the way cover and armor works in this game, a squad all on its own can easily have its dice absorbed in armor and cover, and having that extra boost with an attached hero (as oppoed to a 2nd separate squad) makes cutting through cover and armor easier. The squads with heros also shrug off suppression twice as well, and can be ordered in the Command Phase from anywhere. If you use Bazooka Joe with one of your squads and also pick a command squad, then I find I often end up having just as many orders as my opponent too. It's especially doable with the Allied army, where you can have an extra hero as a platoon upgrade.
Anyway, that's just my current playstyle - I've only played a small handful of games, but I do like having fewer, stronger units, rather than a big mass of weaker ones. It would be interesting to play against someone who takes that opposite approach and see how the 2 armies play against each other.
