So I thought I would share with you guys what I do with FB. When I start a campaign, I make a FB group to go a long with it. I invite all my players to join and we use it to share game ideals in between sessions. I post updates about the campaign and news about what is happening in gallexy during there camp. I wanted to see what your guys/gals thoughts were and how you communicate with players in between sessions.
Facebook as a RPG tool.
Absolutely - it's one of the biggest non-core element tools in my toolbox! Whenever a new mission is selected - or the group have a selection of missions to choose from - I post copies of the mission brief, a map of the target area, mission specific assets and the primary objective (never the others, they serve as a nasty surprise later… although most of the time you can tell what's coming from the brief) to the group and let them discuss in or out of character online who should lead, who should be the banner bearer and make requests for any specialist requisition they may want.
My gaming groups use facebook groups occasionally for this. We also use Obsidian Portal, which is basically a wiki site for RPGs. This is superior as it allows players to upload character sheets and set them to be viewable by the GM only. The GM also has a section only they can view on each page so they can make notes on the fly. This if course favours a group with computer access mid game, and it can detract from the 'round the table' vibe that i love about pen and paper roleplay.
I use http://www.epicwords.com/ to organize all my games. Facebook is okay but I prefer something that is made for RPG's and has useful tools.

I used FB like you but I'm discovering the Morkalg's site and I think I'll immigrate ^^
