Online Campaign

Hiya

I would like to run an online campaign here in the board in the spring. Now I need to know if any of you are interested in playing and which campaign I should prepare.

The plan is to use either the D-Day game or the Bulge game from Axis & Allies for the grand tactical situation and to play out battles with ToI, converting results back to the A&A boards. You would play the battles, send in the results and I would update the map and issue the next battles.

Each battle scenario would contain information on forces to be used, cards, weather and terrain.

For most battles, one player sets up the map, the other chooses a board edge.

For now, I need to know if any players are interested and which campaign it is going to be.

Sure; sounds like an interesting idea. Though I'd prefer Battle of the bulge, I suppose D-day/ Normandy might be a better idea. For example, there aren't any winter weather decks yet ( hopefully when they release " Eastern front" ).

Why would you necesarrily want to pair it up with the A&A boardgames??? ( Not that it's a bad idea; just wondering...)

Because these games provide me with maps, logistics rules (in the case of the Bulge), grand tactical movement and random events (in the case of D-Day) and, of course, an overall order of battle for the campaigns. A lot of rules and information I do not have to research myself. happy.gif

By the way, I would prefer the Batlle of the Bulge, too, but I agree that the material released so far favors D-Day. But that does not need to stop us. Snow rules are easy to invent. I would turn to ASL as a source for that.

I'm always up for the Ardennes.
